General Services Technician

We are recruiting for a General Services Technician in the General Services Department.

The major functions of this position include:
  • Responsible for all aspects of direct mail and have the ability to operate all necessary mailing equipment. Use Excel pivot tables to create data for Word mail merges used in direct mailing.
  • Responsible for all aspects of kit assembly and for inventory for all General Agent marketing supplies; insure timely shipping of kits.
  • Assist with maintaining the Inventory Control System database. Responsible for continuous updates, revision and inventory of all hard copy and print-on-demand forms.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels of all forms and research usage patterns.
  • Assist with vendor outsourcing orders and internal purchasing and inventory of office supplies.

Qualifications include:

  • 3-5 years of work experience in direct mail, printing, inventory control and purchasing.

  • A working knowledge of Word (including mail merge) and Excel is required; knowledge of Access a plus.

  • Keyboarding skills with a 40 w.p.m. minimum is required. 

  • Must have an excellent understanding of print setup for high-volume print jobs. 

  • The candidate must be able to lift 40 pounds. 

  • He/she must be detail oriented, work under deadline pressure, and have the ability to work independently within a team environment. 

  • Some college preferred.

Software Quality Assurance Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance Analyst to work in our Binghamton or Atlanta office. The person will be responsible for the design, development, configuration and implementation of automated test scripts primarily for Web-based applications. Our environments include JAVA, IBM DB2, Websphere Application Servers, AIX, LINUX, Windows and various vendor-provided applications.

The major job responsibilities will be to lead the implementation of automated test tools and create and execute test plans for new company initiatives. He/she will develop test processes to meet appropriate standards, create regression testing scripts and perform regression tests. This person will track system defects and enhancements. He/she must be able to perform testing in a multi-tiered, agile environment.

Qualifications include:
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience planning and developing automated test scripts.

  • Minimum of 2 years experience creating and implementing test cases.

  • Knowledge of varied QA methodologies.

  • Experience testing with Agile Development Methodologies.

  • Ability to analyze specifications and translate them into use cases and test cases.

  • Must have excellent communication, organizational and documentation skills.

  • Must work effectively in a team environment.

  • Accuracy, attention to detail and follow-through are essential.

  • Insurance experience preferred.

Responsibilities include answering inquiries related to commission chargebacks, earnings, holds, rewrites and 1099 earnings; coding and documenting agent commission annualization levels; and processing adjustments from commissions to delinquent balances.
