Columbian Financial Group will be closing at noon on Friday, September 21, 2018, so that its employees locally and nationwide can spread out into the community for their 1st Annual Day of Service. A kick-off presentation will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday September 21st at Columbian’s Vestal Parkway offices to begin the event.
Michael Fosbury, President and CEO of Columbian, will be joining nearly 300 employees to participate in a wide variety of charitable causes and volunteer work.
Employees were given the option to choose from a number of projects and team assignments. Some of the organizations they will be supporting include CHOW® (Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse®), VINES (Volunteers Improving Neighborhood Environments, Broome County), and the Fenton Free Library. Other activities include a service project for a fellow Columbian employee, a charity golf tournament, and various projects for the United Way.
According to Michael Fosbury, “We are very excited to start this tradition. Our employees value the fact that our company strives to make a difference, not only through the sale of our products, but by giving back to the community.”
